Actress Jane Benney got her first film credit in Mr. Bones. Just out of her teens and she lands a leading role opposite Leon Schuster. The comedy was shot in Sun City, South Africa. Co-starring with her were David Ramsey, Robert Whitehead and Faizon Love. Jane relocated to the Isles two years ago and calls Hawaii home now. Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to a British father and Zimbabwean mother, Jane’s career began at a young age onstage. She started entering pageants at 11 years old, eventually securing the title of Miss Teen. It’s hard to keep a talent of her caliber under wraps in Hawaii. The word is out among local filmmakers about her incredible acting range. Her most recent credit is Underdog , directed by Reese Williams, produced by Connie Florez and shot by Martin Troy. When she’s not on the set, Jane likes to hang out at Izakaya restaurant Tokkuri-Tei on Kapahulu.

Starring in the showcase are Ann Pratten, Herman Stern, Candy Tjarks, James Larson, Cindy Ramirez, Jim Aina, Jane Benney, Larry Wiss, Lauren Wong, Matthew Thompson, Leslie Brown, Michael Lanzo, Stephanie Gregory and Willie McGuire. I’ve had many acting teachers in my career as an actor. Wayne had more influence on me than the others because of his passion and genuine love for actors.
