In an effort to promote healthy eating and active living, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii hosted its seventh annual Start Steppin’ event, a half-mile walk around Tamarind Park where healthy rewards were handed out at various checkpoints. The day also included a mini-health fair, where people could participate in free healthy activities such as blood pressure screening, body fat and grip strength analysis, skin testing and analysis and the popular “Ask A Health Care Professional” booth, to name a few. Kaiser Permanente Hawaii president Janet Liang and Dr. Geoff Sewell led the Start Steppin’ Walk.
