The Alexander & Baldwin Foundation presented Aloha United Way’s newly appointed president and chief professional officer Kim Gennaula (center) with a $100,000 gift to help the state’s largest fundraising agency achieve its mission of helping struggling Oahu nonprofit agencies by mobilizing the caring power of the community. Employees of Alexander & Baldwin and its family of companies on Oahu including A&B Properties and Matson Navigation Company also care and made personal donations totaling nearly $65,000 to Aloha United Way. OTB Tops At Summer Hoops Tourney
Team OTB (Off the Bench) won the Gold Medal in the 12U division in the Jam On It Grand Finale AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Las Vegas National Championship basketball tournament that was held July 26 to 28. H5 Receives Its Own Helping Hand
Finance Factors presented Hawaii Helping the Hungry Have Hope (H5) with a donation of $7,801, raised through the financial institution’s annual Charity Breakfast fundraiser recently. H5 provides services for Hawaii’s hungry and homeless communities across the island, ranging from Kakaako and downtown Honolulu to West Oahu.
