ASB Helps Hawaii’s Homeowners

The Hawaii HomeOwnership Center (HHOC) received a $30,000 donation from American Savings Bank (ASB). The contribution will support HHOC’s financial education and counseling services to first-time home-buyers and its foreclosure prevention counseling program. HMSA Keeps Chaminade Pumping

HMSA Foundation’s executive vice president Mark Forman presented Chaminade University’s president Brother Bernard Ploeger with a $23,000 gift check. The foundation grant supports Chaminade’s “Staying Alive for One to Four Minutes” project, providing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for use throughout campus and at three of its off-site residence halls. A Pitcher Of Support From Kona Brewing

As part of its ongoing support of environmental causes, Kona Brewing Company recently donated $5,000 to Friends of Waikiki Aquarium (FOWA). The funds were used to support a second phase of a solar-powered photovoltaic system at the aquarium.
