ASB Helps UH Student Athletes

American Savings Bank recently donated $5,000 to the University of Hawaii Letterwinners Club to purchase laptops for student-athletes. The laptops will be included in an equipment pool shared by various University of Hawaii system athletes. The UH Letterwinners Club was formed in 1997 under the guidance of the UH Athletic Department to enhance the stature of UH athletics in the community and help former athletes network in their current careers. Bank of Hawaii Donates $1 Million

Bank of Hawaii and its employees recently donated $1 million to various nonprofit organizations, the proceeds of its inaugural Employee Giving Campaign. Themed “Making a Difference,” employees were allowed to choose the 20 organizations to be included in the campaign. SMEI Honolulu Receives Awards

Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI), Honolulu Chapter, was awarded the Chairman’s Gold Award and the Raymond Bill Award of Excellence at SMEI’s recent conference in Philadelphia. The Chairman’s Gold Award honors affiliates and chapters for achieving desirable operational results during the association’s fiscal year, and the Raymond Bill Award of Excellence credits the affiliate and chapter achieving the highest score in their membership size category.
