Isle Tire Shop Takes Home Award

Publisher David Moniz (left) and editor Jim Smith (right) of Tire Review magazine present Lex Brodie general manager Scott Williams (center) an award and $7,000 in prizes for being chosen as a finalist in the magazine’s Top Shop for 2008 competition. The store was chosen out of 100 entries, and 22 semi-finalists from around the country. An independent panel of judges then selected the top four companies.

Kraft donates $5K to Foodbank

Gerald Shintaku (front, left) and Sweetie Pacarro of Kraft Foods Hawaii, George Glukfeld of Safeway Hawaii, state Reps. John Mizuno and Barbara Marumoto present a $5,000 check to Hawaii Foodbank president Dick Grimm (back) at the new Safeway Store in Kapahulu. The store also has printed signs and donation coupons available to assist in the holiday-giving campaign for the Foodbank.
