Kahi Mohala Receives $10K Grant

Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Sutter Health, received a $10,000 grant from Hawaiian Electric Company recently in support of its campaign to raise funds for Phase II of the renovation and expansion of its Lokelani Child & Adolescent Unit.The renovation will improve the safety and environmental quality in the common areas of this busy inpatient unit for acute and residential children and adolescents. Hospice Recognizes Volunteers

St. Francis Hospice recognized its volunteers recently at a luncheon at Natsunoya Tea House. About 125 hospice volunteers share their time and special talents to provide comfort and care for those in need. Pictured (from left) are Sallyanne Pekelo, St. Francis Hospice manager of volunteers, with Ethel Arola, Joyce Yoshino, Lena Alensonorin, Rowena Okita and Kathy Heirakuji, all of whom have been volunteers for more than 22 years.
