Kraft-ing A Special Night At DHT

Kraft Foods in Hawaii recently offered Oahu residents the chance to win tickets to the preview night showing of Diamond Head Theatre’s production of The King and I through its “The King and I” sweepstakes. On March 23, the grand-prize winner, Kathryn Mau (back row, pink shirt), along with seven lucky guests, enjoyed a picnic at Diamond Head Theatre complete with snacks, beverages and desserts. Along with the performance Mau and guests got a chance to meet The King and I stars Paolo Mantalban (third from right) and Tricia Marciel (second from right).

A Memorial For Our Fallen

Gov. Neil Abercrombie signs the Law Enforcement Memorial bill, the next step toward the construction of a state law enforcement memorial in the capitol district, honoring fallen officers killed in the line of duty. Hawaiian Music For Japan

The popular weekly Hawaiian music series Pakele Live!, in conjunction with the Pakele Foundation, recently presented a monthlong series of live benefit concerts to support victims of the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan through donations to the American Red Cross, Hawaii Chapter.
