P.F. Chang’s Donates to Shelter

Joan Naguwa (left), executive director of the Waikiki Community Center, receives a $5,000 donation from Ed Locke, a P.F. Chang’s Waikiki operating partner, during the grand opening celebration of the new restaurant.The money was raised at a benefit dinner the night of the opening. The center provides food, English classes, a bi-weekly farmer’s market and a thrift store.

Principals Recognized for Excellence

The fifth annual Masayuki Tokioka Excellence in School Leadership Award ceremony recognized top school principals, including (front, from left) Gilmore Youn, Annette Nishikawa, Amy Martinson, Linda Puleloa, Dr. John Brummel, Myron Monte, (back) Patricia Hamamoto, Wilfred Murakami, Caroline Wong, Gregg Lee, Michael Harano, Meredith Maeda and Tyler Tokioka.
