St. Francis Sends Toys To Philippines

Sheena Joy Malbog (center), a 2004 St. Francis School graduate who is now a movie actress in the Philippines, joined students from her alma mater in packing more than 600 stuffed animals for shipment to the Philippines Orthopedic Center in Manila. The students donated the toys during Lent in answer to Malbog’s request. Pictured with Malbog are (left) Shannon Reese and Connor Damaschi.

Donation Supports Miracle Network

Ace Hardware presented Kapiolani Children’s Miracle Network with $45,000 to support pediatric programs at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. For more than 20 years, Ace Hardware locations statewide have supported Kapiolani by raising funds through the signature Miracle Balloon campaign. Funds raised last year supported hospital renovations and equipment purchases for the emergency department.
