WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!

WHAT WOULD you do if Elvis gave you $199,195? That’s a question that Liana Hovhannisyan now has to answer. She said, “I usually don’t play slots because I never win, but after losing at blackjack, I thought I’d try.” Because the only machine she’s ever won a few bucks on was an Elvis slot, that’s what she decided to play at the Imperial Palace Hotel. “I just wanted to see the bonus ‘play’ come up, when I saw ‘Elvis’in the third window I hit it again but the machine wouldn’t do anything.” Her husband pointed out that she won the progressive jackpot. So what’s she gonna do? “I’m going to decorate my room with pictures of Elvis,” and wait six months until she “comes down,” to decide what to do with the cash.

THE MOST star-studded event in Vegas history was the opening of Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles Love. So where did the celebs go to party after the show? Jet, the hot club in the Mirage ... Sir Paul, Ringo, the families of John and George and a little help from a plethora of friends including part-time Isle resident Wayne Brady redefined A Hard Day’s Night.

IN THE VIP room (not part of the Beatles party) were Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, and buddies Eliza Dushku and Elisa Cuthbert. Is Tiger helping Michael’s putting? Is Michael working on Tiger’s dunk? Only Eliza and Elisa know for sure.

LOOK FOR two more Cirque shows ... the Mandalay Bay and MGM City Center are the lucky hosts.

Amateur and pro rollers from all over the globe including Hawaii will compete in 10 tourneys, including World Craps Champion, Come Out Champ, 6 and 8 Champion, On the Hop Champ and more (I would have entered, but there was no 7 Out Champ). Get more details at www.KimosVegas.com.

DARYL HALL and John Oates cancelled a Lake Las Vegas concert at the last minute. Reportedly they thought it was “too hot to perform.” Hot in Vegas in July? Eh, no way!
