THE BORAT MOVIE hype machine is in overdrive, and not even I can avoid it. Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, star of the No.1 movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, is asking for a $3 million fee to perform at a Vegas club on New Year’s. So far the highest bid is $1 million. “In my country they call that extremely overpaid.”

WHEN ELVIS married Priscilla it was one of the most famous Las Vegas weddings. Now you can own the ring that Elvis gave his bride. The platinum band has eight baguette-cut diamonds set within a border of 16 fill-cut diamonds (a steal at $150,000), or maybe you’d prefer Marilyn Monroe’s jewels from the movie Some Like it Hot, or Mike Myers’blue Austin Powers jacket? They are all part of a movie and TV memorabilia happening Dec. 14-15 auction by Profiles in History. See a photo of the ring, or get the auction catalog at www.KimosVegas.com, www.profilesinhistory.com.

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum originally planned to unveil the likenesses of Brad in a tux and Angelina in a wedding dress. Brad’s representatives thought the display was creepy since the couple was not wed, so the Madame decided on a different pose.
