It had a traditional Japanese sake ceremony performed after placing the first steel cornerstone to ensure the building’s safety and happiness. They also placed a time capsule that contained the building plans (in Japanese and English), among other things. The Cosmopolitan is going up between The Bellagio and City Center, and is being built by a Tokyo steel fabricator.

POKER PROS are auctioning their World Series of Poker prize money. Mike “NOS” Vaynshten and Scott Neuman will give you 50 percent to 75 percent of their 2007 World Series of Poker winnings. The catch is you have to pay $25,000 now to sponsor their entry fees. There’s no guarantee they’ll win, but if they do you end could be worth $5 million.
THE LAST LEG of the Ocean’s trilogy, Ocean’s 13 , is set to open June 8. This is the first movie with Al Pacino and Andy Garcia since The Godfather Part III (1990). The multimillion-dollar all-star cast includes George Clooney as Daniel “Danny” Ocean, Brad Pitt as Robert “Rusty” Charles Ryan, Matt Damon as Linus Caldwell, Al Pacino as Willie Banks, Bernie Mac as Frank Catton, Andy Garcia as Terry Benedict, and Elliott Gould as Reuben Tishkoff.
