LAST CHANCE to hoot like an owl ... The Hooters Hotel & Casino has been sold to Hedwigs Las Vegas Top Tier for $95 million, plus assumption of $130 million in debt. As predicted by many, scantily clad, well-endowed women wearing orange was not enough of a draw in a city like Vegas. The sale is expected to close in October; no word yet on the hotel’s new theme.
MONTY PYTHON fans may want to check out Spamalot sooner than later - rumors abound that attendance is less than expected and it too may go the way of Avenue Q.

THE VEGAS version of the Parker Brothers Monopoly game continues ... W Las Vegas, a 50-acre project behind Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock, has been canceled. After acquiring the land from George Clooney’s failed Las Ramblas project, the developers could not come up with the money to build the project. Before you get teary-eyed and start to feel sorry for them, a nice payday is still ahead when the land sells for $12 million to $20 million per acre.
NEONOPOLIS, the tourist attraction downtown that’s been suffering from lack of tourists, is changing its name (in hopes of changing its visitor count) to The Fremont Square.
