WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!

THE FEMALE SINGER with the most No. 1 singles who’s also the most successful artist of the ‘90s, Mariah Carey, is hosting the New Year’s Party at TAO in the Venetian. Tickets to celebrate ‘08 in the club that Forbes Traveler says is one of the top 10 clubs in the country are $200. By the way, it is the only club in Las Vegas to make that list.

HITTING VENETIAN players’ mailboxes right now: offers to check out sister property “The Palazzo.” The foyer is scheduled to open Dec. 20, but the hotel won’t be fully operational until Jan. 18. High end designer shoppers will want to check out the 85,000-square-foot Barneys New York store in The Shoppes at The Palazzo, and Las Vegas store debuts by Chloe, Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget, Michael Kors and more. Oh yeah ... The Shoppes is managed by General Growth Properties, so those Ala Moana gift cards you get for Christmas will work there too.

Victoria and David Beckham

SOCCER STAR David Beckham was seen chillin’ at the gentlemen’s club Spearmint Rhino after the Spice Girls concert ... his Spice Girl wife, Posh Spice aka Victoria, was by his side in a private room.

SPEAKIN’ OF the Spices, there were hundreds of empty seats to the “sold out” show ... perhaps their fans forgot what night it was?

THE BELLAGIO’S Conservatory & Botanical Gardens has its new winter exhibit on display through Jan. 8. The enchanting winter wonderland features penguins, flying reindeer, polar bears and a 42-foot-tall Shasta white fir aglow with more than 12,000 lights (so no complain next time the wife asks you to “do the lights”). And don’t forget to check out the 230-pound dark chocolate Santa around the corner at Jean Philippe Patisserie.

Celine Dion

“IT WAS A wonderful adventure”... It was an emotional night. “It was a wonderful adventure"are the words Celine Dion used to wrap up her final performance at Caesars Palace. Between songs she spoke candidly and emotionally to the sold-out audience throughout the evening. Since she started A New Day, the show has hosted more than 3,000,000 people, and with a gross of $400 million, it’s one of the biggest ever in entertainment history. If you missed it, look for the DVD collection called, Celine Dion - A New Day: Live in Las Vegas. It’ll feature the entire 90-minute show and more than three hours of bonus material.

“IT’S INCREDIBLE that this happened three days before we’re leaving. We’ve been here five years,” said Celine’s husband manager Rene Angelil after winning $1.6 million in a Caesars’ poker tournament.

THE WORLD SERIES of Poker has renamed the $50,000 buy-in HORSE World Championship trophy the Chip Reese Trophy to honor one of their own. Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the World Series of Poker, said,“A true gentleman and the youngest person admitted to the Poker Hall of Fame, Chip Reese, was recognized by his peers as the most successful player in the biggest mixed-cash games of all time, and he was also a great tournament player with three WSOP bracelets.”
