ANTHONY CURTIS, better known as the Las Vegas Adviser, reveals the scoops behind the scenes of the World Series of Blackjack and the Secrets of Las Vegas, Tuesday night at 6 p.m. on KORL 690 AM and Oceanic Cable 882.
The Pussycat Dolls have a home at Caesars Palace
FROM HOLLYWOOD to Vegas … The Pussycat Dolls played at James Caan’s fictional Montecito Hotel & Casino on TV. Now they’ve got a permanent home at “The Pussycat Dolls Lounge” at Caesars Palace. Eva Longoria (the not-so-desperate housewife) hosts the Grand Opening April 9. If life keeps imitating Hollywood, the Topless pancake house from another episode can’t be far behind.
EVER WONDER what Vegas shows the celebs go to? Well, David Spade went to Elton John … Dale Earnhardt Jr. was at X … John Stamos and Peter Falk did the Don Rickles’ show … Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher caught Bruce Willis … Simon LeBon and John Taylor (Duran Duran) were checkin’ out “ZUMANITY” … Sharon Stone went to “La Femme” … Kenny Loggins went to “Penn & Teller” and Tom Cruise saw “KA” — twice!
These HUGE productions are an essential ingredient for the mega-resorts … “O” at the Bellagio, “Mystere” at the TI and Celine Dion at Caesars are all from the mind that gave us the Paris Disneyland Parade, Franco Dragone. His latest creation, “Le Reve” (French for The Dream), debuts at Steve Wynn’s Las Vegas the 29th of this month. He’s not saying much about the show and what he is saying is kinda dreamlike … “The world was changed by the attacks of Sept. 11 … I want ‘Le Reve’ to invite the audience into the show … I want introspection … I want to heal them from their daily life without pretension … you achieve this by reaching the soul of the people.”
THE GRAND Prize for the Slim’s 11th Annual He-Man Competition is a trip for two to Las Vegas (they’re giving away one trip per store) — with air on ATA and four nights at the Golden Nugget.
This artist rendering illustrates the expansion at the Palms,
where a condo costs a cool $7 million
DID YOU know ATA now flies direct to Las Vegas? … Non- Stop Travel has some Golden Nugget/ATA packages for you to consider.
A CONDO in the new highrise tower at the Palms will set you back $7 million for 7,000 square feet … and you thought real estate in Hawaii was expensive.
CONCERTS TO see … Moby April 28 at the Hard Rock … Stevie Nicks May 10, 11,13 and 14 at Caesars … Stevie Wonder May 21 at the Mandalay Bay … ZZ Top June 8-10 at the Las Vegas Hilton.
