CELEBRATING THE 20th anniversary of his first restaurant, Chef Roy Yamaguchi is launching a nine-city Anniversary Culinary Tour that started in Orlando, stops in Vegas (April 8) and ends where it all began, here in Honolulu, Oct. 4 and 5. The local boy, who won the James Beard “Best Pacific Northwest Chef” award, now has 34 eateries worldwide in 11 states, Japan and Guam. He says, “Since the opening of my first restaurant in Honolulu in 1988, I have always strived to create an alternative to the ordinary and the expected.”
WOLFGANG PUCK’S CUT is open at the Palazzo ... the second location of the award-winning Beverly Hills steak house was named one of the top three steak houses in America by Bon Appétit magazine.
