Hang out with ‘LOVE’ trapeze artists at Tapis Rouge

WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!

BEATLES FANS will be trippin’ with Lucy ... On June 26, Cirque du Soleil introduces Tapis Rouge (pronounced Tappy Rouge), the ultimate VIP experience. Hang out before the

Beatles LOVE show with the acrobats at an exclusive reception in the “REVOLUTION Lounge” (pupus and drinks included), then experience the show in VIP seats and bring home a special LOVE gift bag. The cost of this trip down Penny Lane is $295 per person (including a $150 ticket).

IF NKOTB reminds you of a time of innocence, lunch boxes, pillowcases and dolls, you’ll wanna “Face the Music” with the New Kids on the Block Oct. 11 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and Jordan and Jonathan Knight (now the not-so-New Kids) are together again for a new album and world tour.

MADONNA’S “STICKY & SWEET” tour adds a second show Nov. 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Her 11th album, Hard Candy, debuted at No. 1 in 37 countries. Once a Material Girl, always a Material Girl - the top ticket will set you back $357.

TO PROTEST the safety conditions at the MGM Mirage’s CityCenter, construction workers walked out on the $9.2-billion job. To date, six workers have died at the site. Crowded work sites, accelerated deadlines and fatigue from overtime are the causes of the unsafe conditions, according to the picketing workers. The walk-off ended a little less than a day later.

IF YOU LIKE stargazing (of the terrestrial kine), check out the Las Vegas film festival, CineVegas, June 12-21 at the Palms. It’s the best celebrity-attended event outside of Hollywood.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

AS CHAUNCEY GARDNER (in the movie Being There) once said, “I like to watch” ... Experts predict that more than 30,000 people will enter the 2008 World Series of Poker, but more than 100,000 people will watch the games in person and even more when the finals air on TV.

JEFFRY POLLACK, commissioner of the WSOP, said, “You can’t buy your way onto an NBA court, but you can buy your way into the World Series of Poker and walk away as a world champion.”

KEVIN FEDERLINE, the daddy of four (two with Britney Spears), has been named “Father of the Year” by a Las Vegas nightclub. Prive will award Mr. Spears the title at its daddies’ day party June 13.

ANOTHER BAD IDEA ... Last week a tourist jumped off the bridge head-first into the Bellagio fountains. Perhaps the diver didn’t know that the water is only 4 feet deep and the bridge he jumped from was 10 feet above the man-made lake. Witnesses say he had blood coming out of his mouth, a cut on his head and a broken arm ... Auwe! That’s gonna hurt when he’s sober.

CROWN LTD. took a $42-million bath by walking away from its plans to build the tallest building in the U.S. - the Crown Las Vegas. Saying that the recent upheavals in world credit markets make the project not viable, the Australian company was built by Vegas high-roller Kerry Packer and still has interests in Fontainebleau, Station Casinos Group and Harrah’s Entertainment Inc.

SPOTTED STOPPING traffic downtown, Dwayne Johnson ... Filming of the Rock’s latest movie, Escape to Witch Mountain, shut down Fremont Street from Las Vegas Boulevard to 8th Street.

TIRED OF carrying your Mac with you on vacation? Then check into the Fontainebleau when it opens in Las Vegas next year ... Every room has its very own iMac.
