According to Share Our Strength’s Billy Shore, “One in every six children in America suffers from uncertain access to the healthy, nutritious foods they need to avoid the lifelong and devastating consequences of hunger.“Endorsed by award-winning Vegas chefs including Thomas Keller, Mary Sue Milliken and Tom Collichio, restaurants will be contributing a portion of sales to ensure that no kid in America grows up hungry. To do your part (dine out), visit http://www.greatamericandineout.org to find a participating Vegas eatery, or here at home go to Buca di Beppo or Formaggio Grill.

CRUISIN’ AROUND TOWN, you’ve probably driven by Dan Towbin’s Hummer dealership in Las Vegas. Or maybe you saw it on A&E’s King of Cars special. Soon it’ll make history again as the eighth Hummer dealership to close in the U.S. Blame it on the pump ... At current prices, it costs almost $100 to fill up the H3, the smallest Hummer.

THERE’S A NEW WAY to get Vegas show tickets ... HouseSeats.com is a subscription-based service. A two-month two-ticket sub is $49, it’s $89 for a year or $169 for four tickets a year, and you can sign up for as many shows as you wish. The catch? You never know what shows they’ll be offering. Don’t expect tickets to a Cirque show, but recent offering have been Blue Man Group, Penn & Teller, Sarah Silverman, Kansas, Peter Frampton and Barry Manilow.
