UFC fighter Randy Couture

WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!

TIMES ARE TOUGH all over, but the top ticket at November’s UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar will set you back $1,000. The floor seats sold out immediately, but there are a few in the first riser section waiting on the 10 bennies burning a hole in your pocket.

DUMB ... Jerry Lewis walked into the McCarran International Airport carrying an unloaded gun. Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Karen Bennett-Haron dismissed the charges against him.

DUMBER ... A guest at the Golden Nugget caught a cab to the Bank of America on Rancho and Charleston. He asked the cabbie to wait while he went inside. Then he robbed the bank and got back into the taxi and returned to his hotel. Las Vegas Metro arrested the man later that day at the Golden Nugget ... Well, that’s one way to make a withdrawal.

HARRAH’S ENTERTAINMENT is canceling its participation in the 20,000-seat arena planned behind Bally’s Las Vegas. Its former partner in the venture, AEG, continues to pursue the project and hopes to be the home of Las Vegas’ first pro hockey team by 2010. Hollywood action movie and TV producer Jerry

Bruckheimer, an avid hockey fan, has expressed his interest in owning a team based in Vegas when the league expands. Many experts believe that a pro sports franchise in Sin City will not succeed because most of the residents are originally from somewhere else (as is their team allegiance).

DJ AM and Travis Barker

BOTTLE SERVICE at a Vegas club can run as high as $25,000 if you want the table next to Paris Hilton or that evening’s paid celebrity partier. To pack the house during these tough eco- nomic times, New York, New York now has “Half Bottle Service,” where the prices (and bottles) are half the size.

GET A FREE PASS into The Bank, the newest club in the Bellagio - just ask for one at stores in Metro Park, Marciano (Fashion Show) and Ted Baker, BeBe (Forum Shops).

ADAM MICHAEL GOLDSTEIN, resident DJ at Pure, and collaborator Travis Barker (former drummer, Blink 182) are critically injured after their private plane crashed on takeoff in North Carolina. At one time, DJ AM was engaged to Nicole Richie. He’s frequently seen with friends Paris and Nicky Hilton and is an investor in the club LAX at Pure. Doctors expect both will fully recover after a lengthy hospital stay… The pilot, co-pilot and two others died in the crash.

A BETTER CRAP SHOOT ... At the Orleans Hotel & Casino, check out the new betting option “7 Point 7.” Dice men have a love-hate relationship with “Big Red” (the number 7) passline bettors are a winner on the comeout, but lose money on any other roll. Casino game creator Frank Mugnolo has three new prop bets for passline bettors “Point 7,”“7-Point” and “7 Point 7.” Before the first roll, place a “Point-7” bet, if a point is rolled, the bet is live for the next roll, and if a 7 shows the bet pays 7 to 1, all other rolls lose. The “7 Point” bet is also placed on the comeout. Roll a seven and the bet is live on the next roll, and if that next roll is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 the bet wins and pays 7 to 1 (all other numbers lose). A “7 Point 7” bet loses if the comeout is 2, 3, 11 or 12, but if a 7 shows, the bet wins (2 to 1). If a point is rolled, the bet remains in action until the next roll. If it’s a 7, the bet pays 3 to 1. The house edge is 11.1 percent on the first two and 5.56 percent on the “7 Point 7.” Get the complete details on the “7 Point 7” bet at http://www.KimosVegas.com.
