ONE OF THE best holiday displays in Vegas is the annual Gingerbread Village that features 20 different properties and a giant working carousel made entirely of sugar and chocolate. Check out the free display that took more than 500 hours to make and two days to build in the lobby of the Four Seasons.

IS BLING YOUR THING? Check out the International Gem and Jewelry Show at the Convention Center. Now in its 41st year, there’ll be hundreds of exhibitors from around the world including China, India, Africa, Australia, Russia and more. Jewelry owned by celebrities and other one-of-a-kind creations will be on display and for sale. Hit me up for free tickets at http://www.KimosVegas.com.

HI-ROLLIN’ EXNBA’ER Antoine Walker took out markers (Vegas lingo for a 30-day float on a personal check) at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort totaling more than $900,000. To avoid trial and felony criminal charges, the All-Star has agreed to a repayment plan of $13,000 per month.

SEVEN OUT ... The first casino in Vegas to have carpet on the floor, Binion’s Gambling Hall, is closing its hotel, KENO room and coffee shop - also gone are about 100 jobs. Folks holding a reservation after Dec. 14 are being offered rooms at the Four Queens.

VEGAS-OPOLY ... Harrah’s Entertainment has been buying Planet Hollywood’s defaulted debt in a plan to eventually own and manage the distressed casino.

THIS YEAR The Makaha Sons bring their mele and the hula of Kealo Koko Simpson to the Nevada Treasure in Pahrump Dec. 22. Tickets cost $20 ($25 at the door). Call 775-751-1174 for yours.

WHEN CHECKING OUT the CityCenter, be sure to see all five of the new creations from the folks who brought us the Fountains of Bellagio and the Mirage Volcano. Lumia, Focus, Latisse, Glacia and Halo are works of art featuring the elements of water, ice, light and air.
