THE HOUSE that Frank built ... The location of a reported liaison between John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, the resort where the actress spent her last weekend and the Rat Pack’s refuge from the paparazzi, the Cal Neva Lodge Casino, is seven out. Once owned by the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra, the hotel had a series of underground tunnels that were originally constructed to smuggle alcohol and later employed by guests wanting to avoid the public, press and FBI.
IN JUNE, a radiograph of Marilyn Monroe’s famous bust will be auctioned off at Planet Hollywood. Bring your plastic - the 1954 Xray is expected to go for at least $1,200. Other lots include Christopher Reeves’ Superman costume (cape, body suit and tights), Mel Gibson’s costume from Braveheart and the earrings Kate Winslet wore in Titanic.
FOR THE FIRST TIME in three years, gaming revenue was up double-digits, and it was also the largest single month increase since November 1999. This year, popular gambling weekends Chinese New Year and the Super Bowl were both in February, and this boosted the month 13.9 percent to $946.6 million. So far, “The Year of the Tiger” was not so lucky for baccarat players, who wagered more ($1.2 billion) and lost more ($205 million) at the tables.

At the NAB show, Conan O’Brien announced that he would be doing to George Lopez on TBS what Jay Leno did to him on NBC. Network executives say the difference is that Lopez signed off on the change. At the Harvard grad’s ex-network, Rickey Minor (the band leader from American Idol) is replacing the Tonight Show‘s outgoing music director Kevin Eubanks.
THE WINNING continues at the Fremont ... Yvonne Yamasaki of Pearl City collected $4,171 and Gregoria Oroc of Kekaha won $7,000.
