The nation’s largest cupcake franchise is opening its second Vegas location next month at the Plaza. Its signature swirl cupcakes come in more than 30 flavors and are baked on the premises every morning.

THE COSMOPOLITAN lost $54.3 million in the second quarter of this year. The good news is that it’s a little better than the $56.8 million it lost in the first quarter. The bad news: These guys are doing a better job than the guys running our country.

If you’re looking for a five-diamond dining treat for your tummy, try Le Cirque & Picasso at Bellagio and Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand. IF MANAGEMENT gets its way, the troubled Harmon Tower will seven out via implosion joining its brethren the Aladdin, Dunes, Hacienda, Landmark, El Rancho, Sands, Stardust, Boardwalk, Castaways and New Frontier on the big Strip in the sky. This is the fastest and safest solution to protect visitors from the structure falling down from an earthquake.
THE REAL undisputed King of the Vegas Strip is Cirque du Soleil, producing more hit shows and selling more tickets than anything in the city’s history. Early next year, the Aria’s Viva Elvis will shut down temporarily for a makeover. It’s no secret that the show has not been as successful as its other MGM cousins, but 34 years after the King has left the planet is a long time.
