WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas! Professor I. Nelson Rose is the World’s foremost authority on tribal taming, tambling and Internet taming law. The ex-Hawaii resident talks about Internet gaming, the reality of a Hawaii casino and more! Listen in Thursday at 9 a.m. on Sports Radio 1420AM.

At 2:30 a.m., one month and one day later, and for the 65th time, a Megabucks Jackpot was hit! The winner of the $11.9 million jackpot has chosen to remain anonymous. Having read the sign that said “Change Your Life,” the winner said he wanted to see if it was true. (Ironic that didn’t work for me…) You can always get up-to-the-moment Megabucks counters and pictures of the winners at the new KimosVegas.com.

The Online Bandit claims to make $3,000 per day playing poker in cyberspace. How does he do it? Similar to the way brick-and-mortar poker teams outwit their prey by signaling and feeding chips to teammates at the same table. The online cheat uses multiple accounts, IP addresses and computers to rip you off. The good news: you’re not as bad a player as you thought you were.

Congrats to local poker fanatic Robert Villaverde, who finished 20th out of a field of 312 in the Caesars Poker tournament.

impersonates J-Lo

No, that’s not J-Lo you’re gawking at - it’s the newest female impersonator in “An Evening at La Cage.” I know what you’re thinking - an Asian guy playing a Hispanic? Jonathan Kay is originally from Cambodia and he does J- Lo’s Let’s Get Loud nightly in the show at the Riviera.

Wanna be an NBA star? Well, if you got the cash, the Palms Casino Resort will let you hang like one in the brand new Hardwood Suite. It comes complete with your own basketball court and scoreboard (wonder if cheerleaders are included) and a dance floor. Expect to pay in the five digits for a single night.

Centex Destination Properties, developers of Ko Olina Kai Golf Estates & Villas (where exnewscaster Dan Cooke works), also has a couple of developments in Lake Las Vegas (where Oprah Winfrey lives). They’ve got another project lined up this time on the strip (where the Westward Ho is). The master-planned resort will include an observation wheel. Not just any ole wheel the developers say - it’ll be the largest in the world. A pretty tall order since the current world record is 584 feet. Add another 150 feet to the top of the First Hawaiian Center and you’ll be getting close to the height you’ll get.

How does a year-round beach party with bikini clad cocktail waitresses, dancers, lifeguards and party goers sound? No, you’re not stuck in my fantasy. Check out the Bikini’s Beach and Dance club at the Rio. On Thursday’s it’s Bikini Nation, a sexy swimwear competition with cash prizes (always useful in a casino).

If you’re ono for some poke, on Oct. 30 check out the annual Aloha Shoyu-sponsored Poke Contest at Malibu Chan’s Restaurant. You’re right, this is the place that’s owned by former Pearl City and UH baseball player Warren Seta and his wife Cathy.
