Dick Jensen
Gov. Linda Lingle, Tom Moffatt, Engelbert
Humperdinck and others were on hand
when Hawaii’s own Dick Jensen got his star
on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars

WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas! This week we talk with one of the instructors of Golden Touch Craps, the guys who just broke Stanley Fujitake’s Platinum Arm record. They regularly roll 40-plus passes, and say that you and I can learn to do it too (drop me an e-mail if you’ve taken this course or plan to, I’d like to know what you think)! Listen in Thursday at 9 a.m. on Sports Radio 1420 AM.

HEY, that’s our governor in Las Vegas! Dick Jensen was presented with a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars (very much like ones you see on Hollywood Boulevard) and Linda Lingle and longtime friends Tom Moffatt and Engelbert Humperdinck were there to honor him. I think fellow MidWeek columnist Eddie Sherman’s quote best described his performance: “Jensen’s incredible unique dancing, sliding and gliding style stunned audiences. Dick made Michael Jackson’s moonwalk look like he was standing still!”

THIS MAY be difficult to believe, but for the first time Mr. Vegas, Wayne Newton, is doing his Holiday Show in Vegas. Smart move - during a time when many shows go dark, he’ll be one of the few headliners you’ll be able to see before Santa comes. Opening on Turkey Day (Nov. 24), the extravaganza runs through Dec. 23 at the Flamingo.

CONGRATS to Howard Takahashi, who won a World Poker Tour Series III DVD boxed set. To win yours, visit us at www.KimosVegas.com

NEIL DIAMOND has scheduled a one night stand at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Friday, Dec. 30. “Neil Diamond Live - World Tour 2005” is his biggest show ever featuring his original touring band, a horn section and backup singers. The show will feature his hits and songs from 12 Songs, his latest CD.

OVER AT the Fremont, Vacations Hawaii traveler Wendy Lang won $23,000 on the 25 cent (that’s right, on the quarter) Triple Diamond machine ... guess diamonds are a girl’s best friend (and cash is even better).

ONE OF the hottest new spots downtown is the Hogs and Heifers Saloon.

THE GOLDEN Nugget is full steam ahead with its plans to expand. Look for another 400 rooms, a club overlooking Fremont Street and a two-story aquarium!

VISIT www.KimosVegas.com to win tickets to see “V” the Ultimate Variety Show at the Aladdin ... and get more Kimo’s Vegas in MidWeek the Weekend and with Brickwood Galuteria Friday morning at 7:20 on Hawaiian105 KINE and in Oceanic Cables Around Hawaii.
