IT’S ON all our minds - so I’ll just come out with it - the dreaded holiday weight gain. Do you feel guilty about your Thanksgiving Day feast, or snacking on Christmas cookies at the office? Well, here are a few things that will make you feel better: 1) Several studies show the average American gains just over one pound between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. So enjoy, just make sure to lose that one pound between January and next November, or they add up - 20 years could equal 20 pounds. 2) According to a national gossip magazine, super skinny is out.
Finally! We women can and should be proud of our curves and all the things that make us feminine and beautiful ... Reason to feel better No. 3) Tortito’s Mexican Restaurant (Market City, Kaimuki) heir Rico Andrade treats every day like Thanksgiving. “I’m grateful for a million things,” he said over a chicken salad and refried beans. “I’m grateful for my son and my family, and that we are healthy and together ... I’m not greedy,” he continued. “God gave me the best things, my health and my family. I am happy.“Although he’s been married 11 years, he radiates love and happiness like a newlywed. Rico and his wife, Kris, are celebrating their son Alexander‘s first birthday next week. (By the way, if you love Mexican, the food is awesome) ... The Levi Report is their second venture. Levi’s investigative skills, Lee’s film and production background and their burning desire to expose the dirty dark secrets lurking in your neighborhood are what make this team so extraordinary. Edgy and Matt aren’t afraid to tackle issues other media avoid. The Levi Report focuses on Internet predators.
The Levi Report will shock you and make parents aware of how vulnerable children are to the countless sexual predators who are using the Internet. Attendees included: executive producer Lee, sponsor Cliff Cisco (president of HMSA), president of RecoveryWorks and co-producer of FilmWorks reports on Ice: Parts I & II Jeffrey Mueller, comedian Frank B. Shaner, staff member Mariah Gergen, field producer Noel Pietsch, online editor Carrie Keller and staff member Amanda Corby. The crew spent six grueling months filming, editing, interviewing and investigating (in between their “other jobs”) ...
