Angela A. Davidson has been appointed vice president and compliance officer in the Investment Services Group Compliance Department for Bank of Hawaii. She serves as a liaison with federal, state and internal examiners and is responsible for planning and implementing fiduciary compliance training and monitoring to reduce risk for the bank.

Mabini Zuniga has been named senior estimator for Watts Constructors. Zuniga has more than 20 years of construction experience, estimating for both commercial and federal construction projects. He previously worked for Swinerton Builders and Dick Pacific Construction, where he worked for three years and 17 years, respectively.

Anne Marie Smoke has been hired as senior consultant of client services for The Limtiaco Company. Smoke’s new duties will include providing client strategy and oversight as well as professional facilitation services. She brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, promotion and public relations to the company, with an emphasis in outreach programming and strategic communications plan development.

Wayne Y. Hamano has been promoted to vice chair and chief commercial officer for Bank of Hawaii. He first joined the bank in 1977 as a commercial credit analyst. Hamano will be responsible for the bank’s Pacific Islands Division as well as overseeing Hawaii Commercial Banking Division, Corporate Banking, Leasing and Dealer Commercial Services, among others.

Mike Chabala has been named an agent for the Honolulu General Office of New York Life Insurance Company, the largest mutual life insurance company in the U.S. Chabala has a degree from Southern Oregon University and has resided on Oahu for 17 years.

Christopher Owens has been hired as sales manager for Bella Pietra, Hawaii’s premier natural stone company. In his new position, Owens will lead the company’s sales team to increase sales and productivity, develop training and education programs for the sales staff, and execute strategies to continually improve the quality of customer service while increasing market share for the company.

Kimberly Soares has been promoted to account executive for UHA, Hawaii’s third-largest commercial health insurer. Soares joined UHA in 2002 as a billing clerk and most recently served as an account representative. Her responsibilities now include achieving assigned sales goals through successful new business development.

Eamonn Kinsella has been hired as vice president of sales for Suntech Hawaii. Kinsella will be responsible for overall sales growth within Hawaii and the Pacific Rim for the state’s largest locally owned solar integrator. He previously was director of business development for American Electric Co. LLC and has more than 15 years of sales and management experience.

Michael Walsh has joined the board of directors for UHA. Walsh has more than 20 years of investment and finance experience and currently also is vice president of finance for Queen Lilouokalani Trust. He has held various board positions with the Waikiki Improvement Association, Palolo Chinese Home and the State Consumer Advisory Council, among others.
