Brian N. Sunada, senior vice president of First Hawaiian Bank, has joined the Friends of the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii Board. As a board member, Sunada will provide guidance and leadership to support the mission of the Friends of the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii and the Cancer Research Center. He also served as a past president and former board member of the Honolulu Unit of the American Cancer Society.

Chad Imano has been hired as a financial adviser for American Savings Bank. Prior to joining the bank, Imano worked as a consultant with AXA Advisors LLC. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii.

Nicole LaBerge has been named account executive for Communications Pacific. LaBerge joins the company after serving as assistant program coordinator and information specialist at the Hawaii National Guard Youth Challenge Academy. She also has worked for McNeil Wilson Communications.

Paul Tacci has been appointed assistant outlet manager for Twist at Hanohano in the Sheraton Waikiki. Tacci most recently worked at Beachhouse at the Moana Surfrider. He previously held positions at Outback Steakhouse, Brew Moon and The Doubletree Alana Waikiki.

Taylor Kirihara has been named business relationship manager for American Savings Bank’s Bishop Square branch. In his new position, Kirihara will manage the relationships and financial needs of the bank’s downtown business customers. He most recently served as a business banking officer for Bank of Hawaii.

Catherine Stoupas has been appointed project engineer for Kiewit Building group. Working in the estimating department, she will be responsible for project management and cost estimating, as well as general and field engineering. Stoupas is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Project Manager Academy.

Andrew Pontti has been appointed senior account executive for Communications Pacific. Pontti previously worked with the Alexander & Baldwin Foundation, and most recently joined CommPac from the global public relations agency Weber Shandwick in New York.

Shaun Ono has been named outlet manager for Twist at Hanohano in the Sheraton Waikiki. Ono previously served as outlet manager for the Momoyama Restaurant in the Sheraton Princess Ka`iulani. He began his career with the Sheraton as a University of Hawaii intern in guest services.
