Lena Young has been named human resources manager for City Mill. Young comes with 32 years of experience in human resources and most recently spent 12 years at Hilo Hattie’s, where she served vice president, human resources. Prior to Hilo Hattie’s, she worked at Kamehameha Schools and Bank of Hawaii, also in human resources.

Kathy Christensen has joined the Hawaii Theatre Center development staff as information manager. Christensen will oversee the theatre’s donor and membership databases, donor communication and membership support.

Toby Ginoza has been promoted to controller for City Mill. She will continue to be responsible for day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for the company and its subsidiaries. Ginoza has been on the City Mill team since 2000.

Paul Kasahara has been hired as an architect for Architects Hawaii Limited. Kasahara has 32 years’ experience as an architect and most recently worked for CDS International. He received his bachelor of architecture and his master of architecture in urban design from the University of Colorado.

Elise Burkart has been promoted to chief financial officer for City Mill. She has worked as City Mill’s controller for the past five years and has been responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company as well as the Credit and Information Technology departments.

Keven Williamson has been appointed volunteer supervisor for The Battleship Missouri Memorial. In this position, his duties include managing the memorial’s volunteer program, including the recruitment and hiring of volunteers. He served previously as education director and volunteer coordinator at Bishop Museum’s Hawaii Maritime Center.

David McKale has been promoted from loss prevention supervisor to loss prevention manager for City Mill. He will continue to be responsible for the security of company assets from internal and external threats. In addition, McKale will work on special assignments focused on internal controls and loss prevention.

Derek J. Norris has been appointed controller and principal accounting officer for Bank of Hawaii. His responsibilities include overseeing the bank’s financial reports for internal business lines and the bank’s overall budget. Norris joined the bank in 1999.
