Renee Apilado has been appointed as a financial services associate for Prudential Insurance Company of America. She previously worked as a marketing representative at Hawaii Central Credit Union specializing in business accounts. Apilado also is an active member of the Rotary Hawaii Pau Hana in downtown Honolulu and the Young Business Council.

Kamu Dickson has been hired as administrative assistant for Philip K. White & Associates. Dickson will be responsible for assisting with accounting, bill processing and coordinating the general office functions for the architecture firm. She has previous experience as a sales representative and manager.

David Ariyoshi has been named a marketing representative for Xerox Hawaii. Ariyoshi’s duties include providing new and existing clients with solutions to effectively manage their documents, allowing customers to focus on their core business. Prior to joining Xerox Hawaii, he served as marketing manager for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Vacation Ownership division.

Linda Tidmore has been promoted to underwriting supervisor for UHA, formerly known as University Health Alliance. In this position, Tidmore will analyze data for proposals and rate renewals, maintain various group utilization reports and assist in the annual rate filling with the insurance division. She previously served as an underwriting assistant and joined UHA in May 2006.

April Katada has been named financial services associate of The Prudential Insurance Company of America. Prior to joining Prudential, Katada worked with Bank of Hawaii and Bebe Inc. She majored in management at Hawaii Pacific University.

Erlinda D. Alegre has been promoted to senior vice president from vice president for Bank of Hawaii. She joined the bank in 1994 as a service assistant and has held a variety of positions, including operations analyst and operations manager.

Dr. Gary Okamoto has been elected president of the Hawaii Medical Association. As president, his duties include oversight responsibility for advocacy of physicians and their patients , accrediting hospital programs for continuing education of physicians, and servicing physician specialty societies. Okamoto also is chief medical executive for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific.

Jarrett Walters has been promoted to executive director of building services for Hawaiian Building Maintenance. Walters joined the company in 2006 as director of retail operations. He now will be responsible for overseeing and managing operations staff, financial budgets and customer contracts, while researching and implementing new products and technologies.

Ronald Cannoles has been appointed executive vice president and manager of Bank of Hawaii’s Pacific Islands Division. He will lead and manage the overall financial performance of Pacific Islands Division’s various lines of business and market locations.
