Rachael Wong has been appointed executive director of Hawaii Consortium for Integrative Healthcare, a nonprofit organization committed to promoting wellness and advancing the practice of integrative, holistic care. She was previously the executive director of Kokua Mau, the state hospice and palliative care organization.

R. Stevens Gilley has been elected president of the Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation by the board of trustees. Gilley spent 50 years in the commercial real estate and hotel business in Portland, New York City and San Francisco. In 2005, he was retained as a real estate consultant for the sale of Kukui Gardens.

Michael Bates has been hired as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’ Waikiki office. Bates has been a licensed Realtor since 1994 and has closed sales with both buyers and sellers from Kahala to Waianae. Prior to becoming a full-time Realtor, he was a certified public accountant as well as controller for a Molokai resort and an Oahu trucking company.

Jennifer L. Dotson has been named executive director for MADD Hawaii. In this position, Dotson will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of all initiatives necessary to deliver services and support to drunk driving victims and the community. She also will manage all MADD Hawaii employees and volunteers, among other duties.

Kristine Averill has been appointed campus director for University of Phoenix, Hawaii Campus. Averill manages faculty and staff members, and administrators in academic affairs, enrollment, finance, and student and alumni services for the university’s campus locations.

Dan Carlson has been named vice president and general manager for Tesoro’s Kapolei refinery. He formerly served as operations manager at Tesoro’s Golen Eagle refinery in Martinez, Calif. Carlson will work with the team focusing on safety, environ-mental stewardship and reliability.
