Glen Smith has been promoted to residential sales manager for Sunetric. In this new position, he will head a team of solar-energy professionals who will inform and advocate for renewable solar energy installation and use in Hawaii.

Jim Williams has been appointed interim executive director for the Hawaii State Teachers Association. Williams, a former teacher, previously served as HSTA president and the administrator for the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund. He will now oversee HSTA operations and activities, including representing teachers in collective bargaining, administering HSTA’s contract with the state, providing professional development, and protecting and enhancing the teaching profession.

Denise Locquiao has been promoted to branch supervisor for the main branch of Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union. In this position, she will be responsible for the direct supervision of the day-to-day operations and training of all staff at the branch. Locquiao also will coordinate staff work schedules and monitor performance to maintain integrity and efficiency of the credit union. She previously served as a branch sales associate.

Ivan Lui-Kwan has been named a partner at Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher. Lui-Kwan joined the law firm in 2006 as “Of Counsel,” and practices in the areas of real estate, land use and zoning, and administrative law. He also was recently named to the board of the national American Judicature Society and is vice chairman of the Hawaii chapter.

Suzanne Doran has been hired as manager of Kuakini Health System’s quality and patient outcomes office. Doran will have direct managerial oversight of the quality and patient outcomes as well as infection control departments. A registered nurse, she recently moved from San Diego where she served as supervisor, medical staff quality at Scripps Health System and brings 20 years of healthcare experience to her new position.

Kristopher Kano has been promoted to senior manager of marketing for Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union, where he will oversee all advertising, communication and promotional development. Joining APFCU in 2003, he has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial industry.

Lisa Reasoner has been named director of sales and marketing for New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. Reasoner was previously in charge of group, wedding and meeting sales. In her new position, she will continue these duties as well as be responsible for sales and marketing programs targeted at individual travelers and groups, among other duties. Reasoner joined the hotel in 1997 as a guest services agent.

Carrie Castle has been appointed chief financial officer for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. Castle is a certified public accountant and has more than 17 years’ experience in accounting and finance. In her position, she will oversee the financial operations of the real estate firm.
