Russell Higa has been appointed director of human resources for the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Oahu region. Higa previously served as an independent arbitrator and mediator in labor disputes involving public-sector employers and unions. He will now oversee human resource operations of the two HHSC Oahu facilities - Leahi Hospital and Maluhia - among other duties.
Abbie Willow has been hired as project developer for RevoluSun. Willow’s responsibilities include working with residential and commercial customers to find the best solar systems and financing options available to meet their needs. She was previously the part-owner of construction company Fleishours Flooring.
Michael Nisky has been named general manager of Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. He previously served as general manager of the JW Marriott Hong Kong since 2004 and began his career with Marriott International in 1975 at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn in Arizona.
Agnes Pigao Cadiz, director of clinical operations of Hospice Hawaii, has been appointed by Gov. Linda Lingle to the Hawaii State Center for Nursing advisory board. Cadiz brings more than 35 years of experience in nursing to her role on the board.
Arthur J. Mallet has been hired as office manager for Cadinha & Co. In this new position, Mallet will oversee all administrative functions as well as support the staff.
