Jim Horiuchi has been named director of strategy and creative for Ogilvy & Mather Hawaii. He will oversee the agency’s creative department and drive strategic marketing plans and campaigns for all clients. He previously supervised the creative department of Intercommunications in Newport Beach, Calif.

David Buck has joined Caron B Realty as a real estate sales agent. He previously worked with Coldwell Banker. He will be responsible for being a part of Caron’s team.

Sean Yano has been named rookie of the year for Prudential. He closed $12.5 million in sales and earned a ranking in the top 15 agents at Prudential Locations.

Brett Phillips has been named construction manager of the Shidler Group. He previously worked as a vice president at Allied Builders System. Phillips has 20 years of experience in construction management.

Amy Hennessey has been named the president for 2005 of the Hawaii chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is with McNeil Wilson Communications.

BJ Adkins has joined Prudential Locations as a real estate agent. Adkins has a variety of certifications, which include: MCT, MCSE NT/2000, MCP+I, iNet+, and CNA.

Brock Nelson has been elected to the board of directors for Hoana Medical. Nelson is the president and CEO of Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

John Byrne has been named director of operations for RCI Construction Group in the Hawaii Pacific Division.

Chet Dal Santo has been named president of Aloha Aina Mortgage. Dal Santo has 17 years of experience in the real estate and mortgage business.

Connie Matsumura has been named vice president of customer support at World Class Conferencing Inc. in Honolulu. She has more than 10 years of teleconferencing management experience.

Daniel M. Jenkins has been appointed applications officer for the Manoa Community Garden.

R. Doug Aton has been named manager of emergency preparedness for the Honolulu District of the U.S. Postal Service. He previously worked as the administrator of the Civil Defense Agency for the City and County of Honolulu.

Cat Gelman has joined Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties as vice president, assistant area office leader in the King Street office.

Harolyn Shimabukuro- Miyashiro has been promoted to director of sales and marketing from director of food and beverage for the Sheraton Kauai Resort.

Tanya Schwartz has been named president for 2005 of the Hawaii Psychological Association (HPA) board of directors. Schwartz is a staff psychologist at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific. She also has a private practice specializing in adult neuropsychological assessment.
