Sequel to the Pure Aloha Volume One album, which released in 2005, the sound remains a consis- tent blend of Hawaiian, Island and reggae.

“I think it’s one of the best projects that’s going to be released in a long time,” says Shawn Santana, president of Vizzun Entertainment.

The album track list includes Brighter Day by Pati; Give Aloha, Pure Aloha by Sudden Rush, B.E.T., and Damon Williams; WAR by Sudden Rush, Pati and B.E.T; Pana’ewa Medley by Pana’ewa ; I’m Eazy by Fiji; Living on the Edge by Neville; Still a Young Girl by Lei; Island by the Sea by Pomaika’i and featuring Kawelo Kong-Kee; Reggae Island Music by Cool Progression and featuring Huali; Ooh Wee by George Hoopai and featuring Kaniaupio Willingham of Liquid Roots; Wondering by Broken English; Heavenly Father by Janoe; Gonna Make You Love Me by Bonafide; “D” Reggae by Fortwentydaze; and Old Hawaiian Style by Hawaiian Soul.

“The artists on the album are all personal friends of mine,” says Santana. “I’ve built relationships with all these guys when they come up for the festivals. And when they come up, we record.”

Pure Aloha Volume 2 is releasing in conjunction with Vizzun’s upcoming Pure Aloha Festival & Concert, which is happening in Vegas April 18-20. Performing are Katchafire, Sudden Rush, Hooliganz, Kapena and Hawaiian Soul.
