The Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii recently honored its 2008 Living Treasures of Hawaii, which recognizes and honors those individuals who have made a significant contribution toward building a more humane and fraternal society in our island state.

The 2008 honorees are Edwin Mahiai Beamer, Rev. Sam Cox, Elsie T. Tanaka, Charles P.K.M. Burrows and Benjamin Kodama.
