About 140 of the world’s greatest golf professionals gathered at Waialae Country Club earlier this month for the 2008 Sony Open Hawaii. Congratulations to K.J. Choi, who took home this year’s trophy and the prestigious title. MidWeek and the Star-Bulletin hosted friends and colleagues at a skybox beside the 17th green. As the largest charity event in Hawaii, the Sony Open has raised more than $7 million for local not-for-profit organizations.
