The weeklong 2006 Duke’s OceanFest Ho‘olaulea and ISA World Tandem Surfing Championship concluded with the KINE luau awards banquet at the Waikiki Aquarium.

The annual surfing competition is held in Waikiki to honor Duke Kahanamoku’s legacy and to enjoy the magnificence of Waikiki Beach. The event highlighted the conclusion of summer with a series of fun and exciting events.

A primary objective of Duke’s OceanFest is raising funds for Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation’s college scholarship and athletic grants program.
