A remarkable mix of nearly 1,000 people – sportsmen, academics, media, entertainers, business folks and politicians — turned out to roast and toast Larry Price at “Katoosh: Education Through Athletics.” The dinner at the Sheraton Waikiki was a benefit for the OIA Athletic Foundation, which supports athletic programs in public schools. The diverse audience was understandable considering a few of the highlights on Price’s resume: Half of Honolulu’s top radio show for years, MidWeek columnist, Ph.D., Chaminade University professor, former member of the Los Angeles Rams, former UH coach and one-time chauffeur for The Beatles. Congratulations, Larry, we’re proud you’re on the MidWeek team!
