The Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry held an awareness and fundraising event June 25 at Dole Ballrooms in Iwilei.

Give2Live II: Hot Fun in the Summertime! featured Powerhouse and other local bands. The highlight of the evening was a meeting between a woman who donated her bone marrow and blood stem cells more than seven years ago and the now 15-year-old boy whose life was saved by her donation.
