Forty-two high school seniors were named outstanding citizens and received $1,000 scholarships for continuing education April 15 at the annual Citizenship Awards ceremony at the Waikiki Marriott. The awards went to one student from each public high school throughout the state, thanks to the Star-Advertiser, the DOE and the Hotel & Lodging Association.
