The Filipino Nurses’ Organization of Hawaii held its 32nd annual recognition banquet at the Hilton Hawaiian Village recently. The event recognized new RNs, LPNs and certified specialty nurses and awarded nursing scholarships to Luela Ramos, Irene Castaneda and German Caraang.

Two Nurse of the Year awards were given to state Rep. Rida Cabanilla for excellence in nursing leadership and to Josephine Rejante for excellence in clinical practice. Installation of new officers for 2005 to 2007 was also on the dinner program. New president is Agnes Reyes, first vice president Amie Guillermo, second vice president Nancy Walch, secretary Donalyn Balisacan and treasurer Sunshine Aquino.
