The First Hawaiian Bank REHAB Golf Challenge raised a record $252,787 for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific as 300 players showed their support for the medical facility.

Played at the Prince Golf Club, the tournament had fun and prizes for all. Compadres Bar & Grill served margaritas throughout the tournament, Airgas fueled players with fried turkey sandwiches and Auntie Edith Leong and committee supplied the Spam musubi. Dixie Grill also provided pulled pork sandwiches and sweet tea at the turn.

Mike Irish, who spent almost four months at REHAB after a football injury threatened to leave him a quadriplegic, was the keynote speaker at the banquet. Alas, no one won one of the three Saabs that were hole-in-one prizes, but there’s always next year.
