First Insurance Turns 100

First Insurance Company kicked off its centennial year of doing business in Hawaii with a mochi-pounding ceremony Jan. 3 at First Cafe. The company’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Creating the Future and Excellence made RICE a fitting ingredient for the celebration. Volunteers from Tenrikyo Hawaii Mission oversaw the mochi pounding and shaping, and employees were each given some mochi to take home.
