At the second annual Peace Day celebration at the Hawaii Convention Center, Glenn Paige, professor emeritus at UH and author of Nonkilling Global Political Science, was given the Hawaii Peace Day Award. Entertainment was provided by children of the Hongwanji choir and a taiko group from Pacific Buddhist Academy.
