Del.icio.usMembers of the media and friends gathered at Murphy’s recently for a Hawaii Publishers Association social. It was a rare opportunity for members of the print media from many different publications to talk shop and catch up. The Hawaii Publishers Association is a non-profit organization that promotes the print publishing industry in Hawaii. The organization works diligently to assure the health of the industry and provide education and information to members and the public. Its programs include mentoring high school journalism students and sponsoring the annual Pa‘i Awards for journalism excellence in the islands, to be announced in March.
