HCC And PVS Celebrate Partnership
Del.icio.usHonolulu Community College and Polynesian Voyaging Society celebrated their partnership July 16, also commemorating HCC’s 90th anniversary and affirming the 2012 Worldwide Voyage of the Hokule’a, for which HCC is training more than 2,000 people.
The event honored Hokule’a's first crew. Speakers were PVC executive director Nainoa Thompson and former chancellor Ramsey Pederson who solidified the HCC and PVS partnership in 2003.
