Helping Roz Makaula Fight Breast Cancer
Del.icio.usFriends, family and well wishers gathered at the Ocean Club at Restaurant Row recently to help support broadcaster-writer Roz Makaula in her fight against breast cancer. Inoa ‘Ole, Vaihi, Gregg Hammer and the Flashbacks, Coconut Joe and others entertained the packed crowd, who also enjoyed pupus, a raffle and door prizes.
Makaula gave a blessing in Hawaiian and English and also thanked all those who came to support her at the end of the event. Makaula still has about another year of chemotherapy treatment to go through. Donations will continue to be accepted at all Bank of Hawaii locations under the Friends of Roz Makaula.
