Owner/chef Isamu Kubota was joined by Mayor Mufi Hannemann for a brief welcome program at Kaiwa’s grand opening recently.

Guests enjoyed a sampling of Kaiwa’s signature dishes, following a Hawaiian blessing and cocktail reception at the new Waikiki Beach Walk modern Japanese restaurant.
