La Pietra’s Second Annual Alumnae Weekend
Del.icio.usLa Pietra – Hawaii School for Girls held its second all-school reunion with a three-day weekend. Approximately 125 La Pietra graduates from the Mainland, Europe and Hawaii attended.
The weekend highlight was the luau for family and friends on the campus’ Great Lawn with the group Puamana performing. The alumnae started the weekend with a fiesta reception and concluded with a picnic at Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch.
La Pietra opened its doors in 1964 at Central Union Church. In 1968, La Pietra estate was saved from possible demolition and renovated to house the school. It opened at its current location for the 1969-70 school year.
